HRC

You know it's special when it's got this mark on the side......HRC

I really hope that these engines live forever and I'm going to do my best to keep the passion and love for these fantastic race machines at the four front of every body's mind, WHY!! because they are proper racebikes and we can really only say that about two class at world level today 125 and MotoGP, this is a real shame and a sign of things to come, but don't worry just like all good things, they come back round again and there even bigger the second time, i just hope I'm around to enjoy it.

Starter Solution

This is certainly a starting solution but not a complete solution. This starter is fine while the motorcycle is on the ground but as we know Two Stroke Racing motorcycles spend most of there time on a workbench and need to be started in situ to be check and examined. We at L&M Racing working with RCD-TEC.COM have a solution to this. COMING SOON!

RACE COMPONENT DEVELOPMENT

I would like to say a massive thank you to Mark (RCD) Toon, one of the best, if not the best Engineer I have ever come in to contact with. Mark turns out the most exquisite products on the Race market to date, his ideas designs are in a league of there own, solving racing problems with his engineering solutions ....

Mark has been kind enough to supported Team L&M Racing throughout the 2010 with technical assistance at the track and also with machine development.

Living Breathing.

Perhaps this its just me or it maybe just my sheer passion talking now, but since owning what i call a proper Race Bike a GP spec machine, i've seen these fantastic pieces of engineering in a totally different light. The bikes seem to have a heart and soul the fantastic 2stroke engine reacts to the slightest change and smallest adjustment the machines are like a living organisms that crave attention and thrive on maintenance.

Trails

We found ourselves at the local trails the other day and this is what went down.......

As usual Mr Jono"Bono"Gamlin stole the show

We're lucky enough to have some mega local trails and it's always a pleasure to meet up with the Gamlin Bros, thanks for inviting me boys....

Wildcards

It was great to see we had some strong 125 wildcard presence at the Silverstone GP this year, but with the 250's gone and no domestic Moto2 series we had no other brit entrys apart from Kev Coghlan from the spanish championship, i really hope this changes for next year!

Next Generation

This picture was taken on a recent visit to the Mallory Park BSB round. I took many photos over the weekend but this one really jumped out at me, not only is it a two stroke but the rider in my eyes looks like a bright prospect his name is Lee Jackson and he's 15 from Lincoln, keep an eye on him because i believe we will see him right at the front of the 125 British Championship.

This picture speaks volumes

It says it all in this great sprocket drawing....

BB Project

I designed this logo a couple of months the "BB Project" for my website, all will become clear what it is for and what it means soon!!

What a thing of beauty.

I posted this pic on Twitter the other day and thought i would share it with another social network. I photoed this Aprilia  RSW125 GP bike in the paddock at Donington in 2009 and it just stood out in its partially stripped state awaiting maintenance for the next battle.

ON IT!!

Hiroshi Aoyama absolutely on the limit on the way to winning the 250cc World Championship.
Donington Park

Yamaha YZR250

Again this was the last in the line of the Yamaha factory 250 machines, this fantastic GP motorcycle had Billet crank cases and a finish to rival any.

The Last Of The Full Factory's.

The Factory Honda NSR250 GP machine, this was the last full factory 250 effort from the great Japanese manufacturer. This machine would be the mold for the customer Honda RS250's we know today.
What a fantastic piece of proper GP machinery ridden by the best riders in the world. The photo shows the NSR without clothing, at its best. Please do not get this bike mixed up with the NSR road bike, this is a Grand Prix bike designed solely for racing use.

Hard as nails!

Found this pic the other day and the first thing that came in to my head was that thing looks hard as nails, and that thing is a thing of italian beauty a Aprilia RSW250 in basic straight out the factory carbon and primer. This makes a CBR600 Moto2 bike look like a kids bicycle! We can't bring the 250's back but that doesn't mean we have to stop supporting and loving them. Ive got three words "proper race bikes"

250GP Support Race Silverstone 2010

This post is a little bit over due but i would just like to thank all the people that came and supported me at the Silverstone MotoGP event. All the people that gave up their precious time to help over the weekend, I'm so lucky to have such a fantastic group of individuals helping me during the race weekend and beyond. It may have looked like a pretty rubbish weekend from the outside but believe me it was far from that, it was amazing, we met some great people over the weekend including two guys from Mattioni racing that helped with bike set-up throughout the weekend these guys worked with Jules Cluzel last year in 250's so it was a pleasure to have them help including the 1:30am finish on Friday night "thanks guys".
Thank you to the following Sponsors, without the help from these people it would not be possible.
